CSR, Logistics Representative and Transport
NexKemia, a fast-growing company in the plastic industry in expandable polysterene (EPS), is actively developing the materials and solutions of the future. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a CSR, Logistics Representative and Transport to join our dynamic Team. The CSR – Logistics Representative and Transport’s main responsibility is overseeing all daily logistics of all products leaving our facilities. They will provide product/service information and resolve any emerging problems that clients may face with accuracy and efficiency. They will play a key part in supporting the Logistics Director, inventory control and making sure that all orders are delivered on time and in full.
Essential Job Functions
1. Work in close collaboration with the Logistics Director to make sure all orders are entered into our systems.
2. All orders must be acknowledged to our customers upon receipt.
3. Coordinate pickups and deliveries of all orders and quotes with carriers.
4. Build sustainable relationships through open and interactive communication with customers.
5. Prepare all shipping documents on all orders.
6. Ensure production does not run out of raw materials by coordinating transport from our outside warehouses.
7. Making transfers of our materials in our outside warehouses.
8. Respecting FIFO as much as possible with allocating our orders.
9. Approve all carrier invoices.
10. Assist in month-end inventory, physical count and reporting to the finance team.
11. Keep inventory management files updated and accurate.
12. Coverage during teams PTO.
13. Assist the procurement department, as needed.
14. Assist the Procurement Manager in sourcing optimal raw materials for developing new products and cost saving initiatives.
Requirements for the role
- Highschool diploma or DEC
- 3 years of experience in logistics and/or in a manufacturing setting
- Microsoft office suite proficiency
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Bilingual, English and French. English is required as to communicate with clients and external vendors throughout Canada and potentially the US.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Rigorous, organized, and structured.
- Capacity to work effectively in a rapidly evolving environment with tight deadlines.
