##About the position

Duties The Interpretation Coordinator (PM 02) supports the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of interpretive programs that foster meaningful visitor connections with the cultural and natural heritage of the lands and waters encompassed by the area now known as Prince Albert National Park. Working collaboratively with the interpretation team, the Coordinator contributes to a wide range of educational and public facing programs while providing training and support to interpreters and students. Central to this role is the advancement of Indigenous led storytelling and knowledge sharing through respectful partnerships, the inclusion of diverse Indigenous perspectives, and the development of programming that reflects the long-standing relationships between Indigenous Peoples and this place.

Work environment Prince Albert National Park is an hour’s drive north of the city of Prince Albert, or 2.5 hours from Saskatoon. It is a land of lakes surrounded by conifer and aspen trees. The townsite of Waskesiu Lake is a small collection of residences and businesses on the shore of a sandy beach and a lake that stretches off into the horizon. Visitation is busiest in the summer months, with significant visitation in the spring and fall too.

Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment;Willingness to work and/or travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation.Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required;Willingness to perform duties in various locations within the park.
