About the role
Education: College/CEGEP. Surveying technology/surveying. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. General office. Tasks: Develop survey plans, methods and procedures for conducting legal surveys. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities. Analyze, manage and display data using geographic information systems and computer-aided design and drafting. Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Computer and technology knowledge: ArcGIS. AutoCAD. Field skills experience: Operate survey equipment. Operate total station to obtain information about property boundaries. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Survey specialization: Construction. Engineering. Geodetic. Topographic. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Employment terms options: Day.
