Department: Information TechnologyEmployment Type: Full-TimeRequisition ID: 1900Date Posted: July 16, 2026Closing Date: July 30, 2026 or until filled Position Summary: Reporting to the Sr. Manager, IT Infrastructure, the Sr. Technical Services Analyst – Server Operations is responsible for evaluating the overall health of the enterprise servers through the diagnosis and resolution of technical issues and problems. In addition to ensuring UFA’s servers and storage are optimized, the Senior Technical Services Analyst will be responsible for server recovery plans and procedures as well as scripting the automation of routine procedures.
Responsibilities
Plan, research, evaluate, and design server systems by applying best practice hardware and software principles to develop compatible system infrastructure in line with UFA’s IT strategies. Serve as a subject matter expert for technical infrastructure areas, specifically Server and Storage systems. Research system requirements; prepare detailed installation plans. Conduct internal studies of servers for performance and traffic analysis. Perform technical analysis of hardware infrastructure using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient operations and root cause analysis. Identify diagnoses and resolve technical problems related to server failure/incidents and usage of hardware and software. Ensure that UFA server infrastructure is secure from unauthorized access. Perform system upgrade, migrations, and patching. Develop and implement server backup and recovery plans. Coordinate incident resolution activities with 3rd party vendors, as required, to ensure all related Service Level Targets are met. Provides ongoing 24/7 (on-call rotation) support of supported systems and services. Ensure that server architectures/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IT standards and overall IT security. Script the automation of routine tasks. Develop clear technical design documentation and diagrams detailing existing and proposed technical architectures. Create/Maintain accurate documentation of technical and system configurations
Qualifications
Degree/Diploma (or equivalent training and experience) in Computer Sciences and related subjects. Minimum 8 years leadership experience within infrastructure services. Minimum 5 years’ experience with VMware ESX 4.x, Current experience with VMware ESX 5.x preferred. Minimum 7 years with Server based operating systems (Windows Server 2003/2008, RedHat Linux 5). Minimum 5 Years with SQL/IIS/SharePoint, and PowerShell. Minimum 5 years’ experience with storage subsystems, preferred IBM and/or NetApp systems. Minimum 5 years’ experience with backup recovery systems. Experience with TSM, VSE, and NetApp Snap technology is preferred. Minimum 3 years’ experience with Server Monitoring, Solar Winds is preferred. Minimum 3 years’ experience with Automatic Deployment and Patching Technologies, SCCM. Knowledge of Server hardware from various vendors like HP, IBM, includes rack and blade technologies. Minimum 5 years’ experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP. ITIL v3 Foundations Certificate is required. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Advanced troubleshooting skills in a technical environment. You and UFA.
