About the role
Our client is a well-established manufacturing company in the Quebec region, specializing in the production of glass products for the doors and windows sector. Known for the quality of its operations and the stability of its teams, the organization offers a structured environment where employees can commit long-term and have a tangible impact on operations.
Reporting to the maintenance manager, the generalist in building technical systems acts as an operational pillar in the daily management of facilities. He or she plays a key role in maintaining, optimizing, and continuously improving the infrastructure while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
This versatile role is aimed at a resourceful, hands-on, and proactive individual who is capable of managing both operational interventions and smaller-scale improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the management and proper functioning of the building's technical systems (interior and exterior).
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for equipment and infrastructure.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors (electricians, suppliers, specialized contractors, etc.).
- Diagnose technical issues and implement effective and sustainable solutions.
- Participate in planning and tracking improvement and optimization projects for the facilities.
- Ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Maintain rigorous follow-up on interventions and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and practices in building technical management.
- Intervene on-site when necessary for various operational tasks.
- Perform any other related duties as required by the role.

Requirements:
- Training in building maintenance, mechanics, civil engineering, or a related field (DEP, DEC, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Practical experience in building management and technical maintenance.
- Strong versatility and the ability to thrive in a varied and changing environment.
- Excellent resourcefulness and initiative.
- Ability to coordinate suppliers and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and rigor.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in French and functional English to communicate with suppliers from other provinces and countries (25% of the time).
Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
Schedule: Day shift.
Status: Permanent
