Our client, a well-established Quebec-based company specializing in the manufacturing and installation of metal structures and fabricated metals, is looking to hire a Project Manager for their team. Reporting to management, the successful candidate will play a key role in project planning and coordination, production follow-up, organizing site interventions, and communicating with clients to ensure the smooth execution of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the progress of projects by ensuring communication between production, installation teams, and other stakeholders.
• Receive client plans and propose adjustments or improvements when necessary.
• Participate in the design and modification of plans, as well as in reading and interpreting technical drawings, with the support of the team when needed.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and quotes, adjusting them according to changes, additions, or modifications during the contract.
• Plan and coordinate the rental of the required equipment and materials for the projects.
• Communicate with suppliers and negotiate prices when necessary.
• Perform regular follow-ups with clients and suppliers throughout the projects.
• Occasionally travel for project needs.
• Conduct site visits and attend meetings when required.
• Ensure efficient coordination of the workforce assigned to installation on the job sites.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timelines are respected and work progresses smoothly.
• Perform any other tasks necessary for the success of the projects and the satisfaction of stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Degree in project management, project estimation, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in Quebec.
• Relevant experience in project management in the field of steel construction, particularly in fabricated metals and metal structures.
• Practical experience in preparing quotes and estimates related to construction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for project tracking, and a design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or an equivalent.
• Excellent command of French, both oral and written.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a car required for occasional travel.

Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 per year, negotiable based on experience. Schedule: Day shift, 40 hours per week. Status: Permanent
