SCR Mining and Tunnelling is currently seeking experienced and safety-focused Haul Truck Operators to join our underground mining operations team near Red Lake, Ontario. The successful candidates must have the ability to safely operate a haul truck while ensuring materials are transported and delivered promptly and efficiently.

There are multiple existing vacancies for this position.

Job Type

This is a full-time role, on a 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off Rotation

Work Location and Arrangements

This position is for employment in Red Lake, Ontario. Camp accommodation & meals provided.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Haul Truck Operator, your duties include:

• Operate heavy haul trucks safely in accordance with company policies, site procedures, and safety regulations

• Transport ore, waste rock, and other materials throughout the mine site

• Conduct pre-operational inspections and complete required documentation

• Report mechanical issues, hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly

• Maintain communication with dispatch, supervisors, and other equipment operators

• Follow production targets while maintaining safe operating practices

• Work effectively in varying weather and site conditions

• Support overall site housekeeping and operational efficiency

• Maintain physical and mental fitness for duty at all times

• Follow instructions provided by supervisors and site leadership

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

• Minimum two (2) years of related haul truck or heavy equipment operating experience
• Ontario Common Core certification required, including U0091 Haulage Truck Module
• Experience working in an underground mining environment required
• Strong understanding of safe work practices in mining operations
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and productivity

Compensation

The compensation range for the position is competitive and based on experience. Hourly base wages are $25.00 plus an hourly incentive bonus between $30.00 and 40.00
