Consultants play an integral role in advancing theCanada-Saskatchewan Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement. Reporting to the Program Manager for the Southern region these positions are responsible for:
- Developing, licensing, and monitoring child care services;
- Supporting parents and caregivers;
- Assisting community groups and individuals to meet their child care needs;
- Actively working towards the recruitment and retention of new licensed family child care providers in the area;
- Ensuring information about early childhood care and education is available to the public; and,
- EnforcingThe Child Care Act and The Child Care Regulations.
A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are necessary as intra-city and provincial travel, as well as overnight stays are required.
