Location: Regina, SK (Onsite)
About the Role:
Global Regina is seeking a full-time ENG Photographer/Editor to join our News Department, reporting directly to the Supervising Technical Producer.
This role will work part time in the control room and part time in the field.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of control room production and experience as a news photographer with a strong understanding of how to shoot and edit daily news stories.
This position requires regularly working mornings with flexibility to work weekend and evening shifts when necessary.

You will contribute by:

Shoot and edit daily news and sports.

Work with Regina's MMC Control Room operating various automated control room applications. Including Mosart, Open Media, Grass Valley, ORAD, and Xpression.

Perform key technical duties that will include record-marking & video exporting.

Operating and maintaining working knowledge of production equipment.

Editing packages, voice overs, bumpers, stingers, and other video elements as required.

Knowledge of photography, lighting and audio.

Maintain camera and editing equipment.

Knowledge of non-linear editing systems.

Responsible for safely operating and maintaining a company vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license.

The ability to work well with others in a team setting is critical.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and experience you will bring:
-
Post-secondary education (or equivalent experience) in broadcast technology or a related field is preferred.

Calm under pressure and the ability to meet strict daily deadlines.

Previous experience working in a control room is an asset.

Knowledge of non-linear editing systems and camera operations.
-
The ability to work well with others in a team setting is critical.

Strong attention to detail.
-
The ability to work independently and in co-operation with news reporters.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Valid Driver's license and clear driver's abstract required.

Availability for weekend and evening shifts as required.
