Are you an experienced leader passionate about creating meaningful
community-based services, building strong partnerships, and supporting individuals and families through innovative housing and recreational programming? Ranch Ehrlo Society is seeking a Director of Housing & Sport Venture to provide strategic leadership and oversight for our Housing and Sport Venture portfolios.
As a member of the leadership team, the Director will play a key role in
advancing Ranch Ehrlo’s mission by leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of affordable and supportive housing services, as well as community-based recreation and sport programming that promotes inclusion, independence, and positive outcomes for participants.
This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and forward-thinking leader
with advanced experience in supportive housing, community-based services, property management, and recreational programming. The successful candidate will bring strong strategic vision, operational expertise, and the ability to develop and maintain meaningful partnerships with government, Indigenous organizations, community agencies, funders, landlords, sport and recreation partners, and other key stakeholders.
The Director will provide leadership to a team of managers and employees, ensuring effective service delivery, strong financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and alignment with Ranch Ehrlo’s strategic priorities. This role will also oversee program budgets, resource allocation, operational planning, risk management, and the ongoing development of services that respond to community needs.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree in business, social work, or a related field.
- Certificate or diploma in property management.
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in a management or senior leadership role.
- Experience overseeing community housing and/or recreational program services.
- Experience in property management, real estate, or working with individuals experiencing complex barriers to housing is considered an asset.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Advanced knowledge and experience developing, implementing, and overseeing supportive housing initiatives and community-based recreational services.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative networks and establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong financial management skills, including budget development, resource allocation, and monitoring.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to identify service gaps, develop solutions, and implement improvements.
- Ability to work effectively in complex, high-risk situations while making sound decisions.
- Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and organizational growth.

The annual salary range for this position is $118,532.69 to $160,383.00, depending on experience and certifications.

About Ranch Ehrlo Society
Ranch Ehrlo, a non-profit organization, was founded by the late Dr. Geoff Pawson in 1966. It started as a single home for six boys with significant complex needs and grew to a multi-service agency delivering a wide range of accredited mental health and developmental services delivered in southern Saskatchewan and in and around Saskatoon and Prince Albert. Our services include assessment and psychotherapy for members of the broader community, family treatment and reunification, early learning, vocational training, emergency receiving services, treatment foster care, affordable housing, residential treatment, and education for children and youth with mental health and addictions needs, residential care for older adolescents and adults with pervasive and complex developmental disorders, and community recreation and sports programs for at-risk youth.
