About the role
The Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club is seeking a professionally trained, highly motivated Game Day Public Address Announcer who is ready, willing, and able to attend and actively participate in each Roughrider home game.
We are looking for a candidate with formal training in broadcast media (radio, television, or digital broadcasting) and/or proven experience in sports broadcasting or live event production. A diploma or certificate from a recognized broadcast school is considered a strong asset.
The successful candidate will bring a polished on-air presence, strong technical awareness of live production environments, and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently to large stadium audiences.
Requirements
Key Qualifications & Experience

Formal education in Broadcast Media, Radio & Television Arts, or a related field and/or demonstrated experience in sports broadcasting or live event announcing

Experience working in live broadcast environments, with an understanding of timing, cues, and coordination with production teams

Strong vocal delivery, projection, diction, and microphone technique

Ability to deliver scripted reads with clarity and professionalism, while confidently handling unscripted, real-time game updates

Familiarity with broadcast-style pacing, tone control, and audience engagement

Knowledge of the Canadian Football League and the Saskatchewan Roughriders

Ability to maintain composure, accuracy, and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-pressure live sports environment

About Saskatchewan Roughriders
The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a Canadian Football League Team with over 100 years of history. In recent years the Roughriders (Riders) have routinely led the CFL in revenue generation and fan support including ticket sales, social media engagement and TV viewership. Roughrider home games are played at Mosaic Stadium where a sea of fans dressed in green cover over 33,000 seats.
