POSITION DETAILS:

Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 per year

Location: Remote - Canada

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Technical Consultant works with customers and the Implementation Consulting team to gather

technical business requirements and design custom solutions that meet unique business

objectives. This role develops technical solutions including data integrations, front-end web

customizations, custom SQL procedures, complex workflows, analytics, and reporting while

ensuring development best practices are followed.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to Senior Technical Consultant, under the Professional Services department. Works

closely with Implementation Consulting team, directly interfaces with customers to understand

technical requirements, and collaborates with internal teams to develop tools that improve

implementation processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements Gathering and Solution Design

• Collaborate directly with clients to understand business processes and technical

constraints

• Gather and define technical requirements to meet custom business process and system

needs

• Present technical solutions and recommendations to client stakeholders

• Develop architected custom solutions to best meet customer business requirements

• Analyze and document technical design specifications

Technical Development and Implementation

• Utilize back-end, front-end, database, and scripting technologies to develop custom

solutions

• Build custom 3rd party data integrations, SQL database objects and procedures, web front

end solutions, scripts, reports, and analytics

• Develop tools to assist customers and implementation teams with automating processes

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for implemented solutions

Quality Assurance and Best Practices

• Perform unit testing of deliverables to validate business and non-functional specifications

• Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and knowledge

transfer materials

• Ensure development best practices are being followed throughout all projects

Continuous Improvement and Learning

• Engage in continuous learning to navigate changing business and customer needs

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

• Share knowledge and best practices with team members and contribute to internal training

initiatives

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

• Strong MS SQL knowledge and stored procedure development expertise

• Experience programming with backend programming languages, with C#/.NET preferred

• Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms and/or front-end JavaScript frameworks such as

Angular, React, or Vue

• Experience utilizing RESTful or SOAP APIs

• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell

• Experience with report design and development, Crystal Reports® and/or Power BI preferred

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects independently

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate and recommend

alternative solutions

• Ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in technical consulting, software development, or a

similar role

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or

related technical field, OR equivalent combination of education and 4-6 years of relevant

work experience

• Proven experience with database design and SQL development

• Experience working directly with clients or customers in a consulting capacity preferred
