Accountabilities

The Staff Software Engineer will serve as a technical leader responsible for driving complex engineering initiatives, shaping platform architecture, and enabling teams to build innovative AI-powered products at scale. Lead large-scale technical projects from initial concept through production, ensuring alignment between architecture decisions, business objectives, and customer impact. Design and deliver AI-native product experiences leveraging large language models, agent frameworks, and real-time data capabilities. Own the architecture of critical platform capabilities, including AI-powered workflows, scalable infrastructure, and multi-tenant systems. Establish engineering patterns, development practices, and technical standards that improve quality, efficiency, and scalability. Help evolve AI-enabled development workflows by integrating modern tools and approaches into the engineering lifecycle. Collaborate closely with product, design, and technical teams to deliver impactful solutions. Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and help raise engineering excellence across the organization. Drive thoughtful system design decisions while balancing technical quality, customer needs, and long-term business value. Contribute to a culture of innovation, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong technical depth, leadership capabilities, and a passion for building products with AI at the center. 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in senior or staff-level roles. Demonstrated experience building and shipping complex software solutions in SaaS or high-growth technology environments. Strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React. Experience designing and operating scalable microservice architectures in cloud-native environments, preferably with AWS. Strong understanding of GraphQL, event-driven systems such as Kafka or SQS, and distributed databases including PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch. Proven ability to lead high-impact technical initiatives from strategy through successful delivery. Deep understanding of software architecture principles and multi-tenant platform design. Experience using AI tools as part of daily engineering workflows and a strong perspective on how AI is transforming software development. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineering, product, design, and executive stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Passion for mentoring others and improving engineering practices. Experience with modern technologies such as React, Tailwind, Apollo, Redis, Kubernetes, Lambda, Temporal, and AWS is highly valuable.
