About the role
Job Title: Tool Pre-setter
Job Summary
Prepare and set up of cutting tools, tool holders, and related equipment for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines and maintain pre-set line inventory.
Responsibility
-
Setup and preset tools for production through the use of setup sheets and tooling drawings
-
Use precision measuring instruments to inspect and measure tools for accuracy and compliance with technical drawings.

Maintain detailed records of tool setups, adjustments, and inspections. Document tool performance and issues in data system.

Perform cutting tool maintenance and simple repair.

Assist in inventory control and replenishment for tooling and miscellaneous items. Distribution of materials in central stores.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Completion of secondary school or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Required Skills/Experience
-
Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools.

Good knowledge of metal cutting tools and understanding of CNC machinery.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
-
Good communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
