What you’ll do:

• Reporting to the Home Centre Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service, and adhere to all Discovery Co-op policies, procedures, and standards.

• Accountable for providing file maintenance and inventory support to the Home Centre, FFT and Leisure Time teams.

• Responsible for maintaining accurate item files, pricing, cost integrity, and inventory data within Mi9 and Lightspeed to ensure operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

• Executes price changes, promotions, and file updates, investigates discrepancies, and supports inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.

• Complete daily cashup procedures, prepare bank deposits, verify till discrepancies, and ensure compliance with financial policies and separation of duties.

• Prepare and distribute daily reports as required.

• Maintain organized filing systems for cashups, deposits, receiving, purchase orders, and audit documentation.

• Ensure price labels, signage, and office/POS supplies are maintained and distributed to support daily operations.

• Answer phones professionally, assist at tills or on the sales floor when needed, and provide internal support to department teams to ensure service standards are maintained.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail and:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Post-secondary coursework in business administration, accounting, or retail operations considered an asset.

• Minimum 1–3 years of retail, inventory control, administrative, or accounting experience preferred.

• Demonstrated experience supporting pricing accuracy and investigation discrepancies preferred.

• Experience supporting inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation activities preferred.

• Experience working with retail systems preferred.

• Co-operative retail experience is an asset.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively relay information, resolve discrepancies, and support operational coordination across departments.

• Strong math and reading skills.

• Strong computer proficiency (Mi9, Microsoft Office applications).
