Position Overview

We are seeking Yard Equipment Operators to join our team for the season. This role involves operating equipment such as skid-steers and forklifts to manage our yard operations. If you enjoy working outdoors and engaging in physical activity, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Operate skid-steers, bucket loaders, and forklifts to handle materials.
• Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload plants, sod, bulk soils, rocks, and mulch for customers and shipments.
• Customer Support: Assist customers with loading and ensure excellent customer service.
• Inventory Management: Facilitate pallet returns for wholesale and retail customers.
• Yard Maintenance: Ensure the yard remains clean, safe, and organized at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience operating skid-steers, forklifts, or loaders is required.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment is an asset.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Communication Skills: Clear communication and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; a second language is an asset.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation is essential, as there is no public transit access to the area.
