A well-established company in Abitibi, recognized for several decades for the quality of its custom metal fabrication projects, is looking for an experienced press brake operator who can turn technical drawings into finished parts with accuracy and consistency. You will take part in the manufacturing of metal components for the mining, forestry and industrial sectors, where durability, compliance and quality workmanship are essential.

The tasks consist of:

-       Preparing bending jobs by reviewing plans, technical drawings and production specifications.

-       Programming and adjusting the CNC press brake according to the metal parts to be manufactured.

-       Performing bending, forming and metal transformation operations using specialized equipment.

-       Moving materials safely using the appropriate lifting equipment, including an overhead crane.

-       Checking the dimensions and quality of parts to ensure they meet manufacturing standards.

-       Ensuring the efficient use of raw materials and keeping material tracking up to date.

-       Selecting and handling materials according to their properties and production requirements.

-       Working closely with the shop team to ensure smooth and efficient production.

-       Performing any other related tasks.

Requirements:

-       High school diploma.

-       Relevant experience operating a CNC press brake or similar CNC and conventional equipment.

-       Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

-       Knowledge of metallurgy and metal properties, including steel drilling.

-       Comfortable using measuring tools and performing quality control checks.

-       Experience with lifting equipment, an asset.

-       Good command of French, both spoken and written.

Salary: Between $25.17 and $35.57 per hour, depending on level of autonomy and experience.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Status: Permanent
