In the rail industry, every component must meet high standards of reliability and precision before being integrated into the final product. This is where your technical experience will make a difference, whether in assembly, testing, adjustments or repairs.

You will work from schematics on printed circuit boards, wiring, connectors and various electromechanical sub-assemblies. You will also participate in final testing as well as the design and testing of assembly and test fixtures.

The tasks consist of

-       Verify the accuracy and compliance of incoming components at the start of production.

-       Interpret plans, technical drawings, work instructions and electronic schematics.

-       Assemble electronic and electromechanical parts, components and sub-assemblies.

-       Troubleshoot mechanical, electromechanical and electronic components.

-       Use and maintain soldering equipment and related electronic tools.

-       Repair printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to production requirements.

-       Read, understand and contribute to the development of electronic schematics.

-       Solder wires, connectors, contacts and electronic components as required.

-       Perform final testing on assembled parts and products.

-       Complete quality control documentation according to established standards.

-       Verify that all production steps have been completed before transferring products to quality control.

-       Identify manufactured parts to ensure proper traceability.

-       Participate in the design, fabrication and testing of assembly and test fixtures.

-       Report technical issues and collaborate on validating solutions.

-       Support the team with disassembly, cleaning, polishing, painting or welding tasks when required.

-       Maintain a clean, safe and well-organized work area.

-       Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

-       College diploma (DEC) in Electromechanics, Electronics or equivalent training.

-       3 to 5 years of experience in electronic or electromechanical assembly.

-       Comfortable reading plans, technical documentation and electronic schematics.

-       Experience with soldering equipment, printed circuit boards and functional testing.

-       Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues.

-       Excellent manual dexterity for handling precision components.

-       Functional English to understand technical documentation from international suppliers (25% of the documentation).

Salary: Between $31 and $37 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, day shift, 10 hours per day (40 hours per week).

Status: Permanent.
