About the role
The Senior CMM Inspector is responsible for performing advanced dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment, as well as performing first article, in-process, and final inspections of precision machined parts. This role ensures full compliance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and optimize CMM programs on Zeiss CMM with Calypso software.
- Perform inspection activities (receiving, in-process, first article, and final) using CMM and conventional tools, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Provide technical guidance on measurement methods and best practices to production teams.
- Identify, document, and communicate non-conformities; issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs); and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Complete and review quality documentation, including First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), and ERP entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance prior to product release.
- Collaborate with Quality, Programming, and Production teams to resolve issues, improve inspection processes,
- Support audits and mentor junior inspectors.
##Qualification Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Quality Control, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred).
- Strong experience with CMM operation and programming, (Zeiss CMM with Calypso software is an asset).
- Solid understanding of GD&T and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement techniques.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JobBoss) and MS Office.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously.
- Capacity to communicate in French and understand English
