Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman, the Heavy Vehicle Mechanic will be primarily responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy vehicles and trailers while ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of the equipment on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

-       Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the fleet of trucks and trailers.

-       Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other technical failures.

-       Use advanced diagnostic tools to efficiently identify and resolve issues.

-       Diagnose, adjust, correct, assemble, disassemble, and repair various vehicle components in the shop.

-       Complete repairs within the established service timelines.

-       Perform any other related duties as required.

Requirements

-       DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.

-       PEP certification (an asset).

-       Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.

-       Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

-       Comfortable handling unexpected situations in a workshop environment.

-       Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
