Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The Role
As a member of the Radiation Department, you will support the Radiation Protection Program by collecting, monitoring and recording radiation data from site facilities. You will assist with radiation monitoring activities, issue radiation work permits and help ensure compliance with radiation protection standards.
In This Role, You Will
Conduct routine radiation monitoring and collect workplace radiation data. Maintain accurate records and enter monitoring information into data management systems. Assist with issuing radiation work permits and verifying required controls are in place. Inspect designated work areas and report unusual conditions or results. Support compliance with radiation protection procedures, standards and regulatory requirements. Assist with routine sampling, measurements and data collection activities.
Required
radiation or environmental monitoring technician certificate, or post-secondary education in a science-related field; six months to two years of relevant work experience; equivalent combination of education and work experience considered; valid class 5 driver’s license; and work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended
experience using Microsoft Office applications; experience collecting, recording or analysing technical data; experience working in an industrial, mining or processing environment; and experience as a member of an Occupational Health Committee.
