Duties
Training for and operation of 5-ton box truck Operating box truck for customer pickups and deliveries, utilizing loading docks and pallet jacks to safely load, transport, and unload palletized containers at the organics processing facility. Utilizing pallet jack to lift and move organic waste pallets weighing up to one ton, delivery of organic waste to Loraas Organics. Interact with customers on site to arrange pick-up of organic waste including alerting customer to your presence and assisting customer with accessing pallet for removal. Coordination with fellow employees within other departments to ensure maximum efficiency in daily operations. Container maintenance, equipment maintenance, buildings and facilities work, and other duties as requested, when organic collections aren’t required. Adherence to company, and customer, site safety policies and procedures.
What We Need From You
Class 5 license required with clear abstract. Class 3A license preferred, no experience required. Strong knowledge of Saskatoon and surrounding area. Short haul/city commercial driving experience preferred. Hydraulic equipment experience an asset. Able to work both in a team environment and unsupervised. Excellent logistical and organizational skills. Good communication skills. A criminal record check will be required. What’s in it for you?
