Job Description

Schedule: Thursday to Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

You will be responsible for moving semi-trailers within the Vegpro yard. You will also be required to follow and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (OHS, Good Agricultural Practices, and food safety standards).

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a yard truck (“shunter”) to move semi-trailers

• Perform trailer movements within the yard

• Frequently perform backing maneuvers

• Plan and sequence movements to optimize available space

• Position trailers for pickup by external carriers in the appropriate locations

• Be solely responsible for yard movements and organization during your shift

• Conduct an accurate daily yard inventory

• Perform daily inspections of the yard truck and report any issues

• Set temperatures on refrigeration units according to operational needs and planned shipments

• Operate the yard truck in an open environment where pedestrians and other vehicles are always present

Main Responsibilities

• High school diploma or training accredited by CFTR (Centre de Formation du Transport Routier)

• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving a semi-trailer or yard truck (shunter)

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to work outdoors in both summer and winter conditions

• Knowledge of HACCP standards is an asset

• Careful and detail-oriented

• Strong organizational and logistical skills

• Ability to work under pressure
