About the role
Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta, serving the education needs of approximately 17,750 students in 43 schools. Next Step is seeking teachers who are currently teaching or have taught diploma-level courses to lead the review diploma sessions. Experience doing diploma review sessions, marking diplomas or working on committees is an asset.

May 30-31: English Language Arts 30-1, Social Studies 30-1, Math 30-1 & Math 30-2

June 6-7: English Language Arts 30-1, Social Studies 30-1, Math 30-1 & Math 30-2 (repeat sessions)

Teachers must have experience teaching and be currently teaching the subject they are applying for. Pay is as per the collective agreement at $63 per hour. Paid Hourly for 28 total hours: 14 hours for Instruction/supervision, 13 hours prepping materials and 1 hour pre-meeting. Courses run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a half-hour break for lunch. Courses will be offered at Salisbury Composite High School (20 Festival Way) in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
