St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting aFull Time, Temporary, Educational Assistant 2 (EA2)for a work assignment atÉcole Hillgrove Schoolwithin GOALS (7/8/9) programing**.**

More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.

Hours of Work**:**30.0hrs. /week; 6.0 hrs. /day; Monday-Friday; Full Time, Temporary

Hourly Rate:$26.11 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement

Expected End Date**:**June 30, 2026

Specific Needs/Requirements for this position:

• Formal Post-Secondary training is preferred
• Experience in supporting the classroom teacher with programming modifications or adaptations as needed
• Experience delivering interventions and strategies as laid out by the classroom teacher and other multi-disciplinary team members
• Use a total communication approach with students including oral communication, sign language, cued speech and visual supports as needed
• Knowledgeable in using strategies that enhance communication in a classroom setting, field trips and unstructured parts of the school day
• Comfortable and experienced in using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems
• Experience in working with assistive technologies in the classroom
• Previous experience working with students with complex medical and cognitive disorders
• Experience with providing social, emotional, and behavioral supports
• Current CPR an asset
• Experience working with students with various diverse, learning and behavioral needs including Autism.
