Title: Light Duty Cleaner
Location: Tsawwassen Mills (Shuttle Services are available from Scott Road Station and Kwantlen Polytechnic University - Surrey) Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Hourly Rate: $20.26 / hour Schedule: Weekdays, Weekends and Holidays Shift: Between 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM About the Role We're looking for a dedicated and service-oriented light duty cleaner to join the Alpine team. In this role, you'll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, retailers, and staff by maintaining the food court and common areas to the highest standards. Your work will play a key part in ensuring every visitor enjoys a positive experience while at the shopping centre. What You Will Be Doing
Collect and remove used dishware, trays, and reusable service items from guest seating areas Segregate waste materials at designated stations, separating recoverable items and organic matter from soiled service vessels and ensuring correct disposal arrangements Perform continuous spot checks and removal of debris or litter from all floor surfaces within the public spaces and circulation zones Clean, sanitize, and wipe down all guest seating surfaces, counters, and supporting fixtures and furniture to ensure readiness for the next user Clean, disinfect, and sanitize high-touch and high-traffic areas to maintain a safe environment Perform comprehensive floor care, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and spot cleaning Clean and maintain all building common areas, including hallways, lobbies, bathrooms, elevators, escalators, and stairs Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from waste bins on a regular basis Complete cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing of all facilities, with a focus on washrooms and designated client spaces Maintain and service client-specific spaces and complete other duties as directed What You'll Bring Previous experience in janitorial services, housekeeping, cleaning, customer service, retail, hospitality, or a similar environment is considered an asset A strong commitment to delivering excellent service and creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout your shift Dependable, punctual, and able to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as operationally required Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) is considered an asset but is not required Ability to obtain and maintain any required site-specific security clearances Reliable transportation is considered an asset About Alpine Alpine is one of Canada's leading facility services providers, delivering cleaning, maintenance, and support services across a variety of industries.
