About the role
One of our clients in the Stratford, ON region is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimize packaging operations within their food processing facility.
Shift - Days
Pay - $105k - 130k
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily packaging operations across liquid filling lines, including bottling, capping, labeling, and case packing.
- Manage and develop packaging supervisors, leads, and line operators to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet output, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, BRC, and food safety or regulatory standards.
- Monitor line efficiency, downtime, scrap, and labor utilization; implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Ensure proper setup, changeovers, and validation for different liquid products and packaging formats.
- Maintain packaging material inventory and coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
- Enforce workplace safety policies and promote a strong safety culture.
- Prepare and analyze production reports, KPIs, and root cause analyses.
- Support new product launches, trials, and process improvements related to liquid filling and packaging.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education required (Engineering, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Operations, or Management preferred).
- 5+ years management experience in food manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel, SAP, and MS Office proficiency.
- LEAN knowledge and strong H&S and quality focus.
