About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable (CRMH) Crisis Response & Mental Health Instructorto guide and mentor students in our diploma program. This role plays a vital part in preparing students for careers in protective services, security, and community safety, equipping them with both technical skills and a deep understanding of ethics, leadership, and cultural awareness.

Using our comprehensive curriculum, you will deliver engaging instruction across a wide range of topics—from crisis intervention and investigation strategies to cultural safety and leadership development.

This part-time role offers up to 20 hours per week and has the potential to lead to future instructional opportunities, advancing your career in education.

Start date: Monday April 06, 2026

Rate Range: $33.00-$35.00/hour

Schedule: Tuesday to Thursday (5:30pm to 9:30pm) Saturday (8:30am to 5:00pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct and facilitate student learning using college-provided curriculum and resources

• Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions on crisis response and mental health topics.

• Support and mentor students in developing practical skills for real-world application

• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records

• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment

• Coordinate and guide students during practicum and service-learning components

Qualifications:

• Required academic qualifications in psychology, counseling, social work, mental health studies, or a related field

• Recent experience (within the last 2 years) working in crisis intervention, mental health services, counseling, or community support roles

• Recent teaching experience in a public or private post-secondary institution in related subject areas is an asset.

• Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Office 365)

• Commitment to supporting and motivating adult learners
