##About The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, Mechanical, the Mechanical Field Technician role involves a mix of scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment. This position is well-suited for a Red Seal Millwright. You will be responsible for identifying issues, diagnosing mechanical problems, and supporting timely resolution of client concerns.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Travel to a variety of customer sites across multiple industries to perform planned maintenance and respond to service calls. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment, or coordinate repairs as needed;
• Maintain a high standard of customer communication by setting clear expectations and providing updates throughout each job;
• Support and execute equipment installations, including start-up, commissioning, pre-start inspections, and handover to the client;
• Collaborate with and coordinate third-party vendors and contractors as required;
• Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting in a safe and efficient manner to minimize equipment downtime.

Our Must Haves

• Successfully obtained your Red Seal Millwright certification;
• Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract;
• Committed to customer service and going the extra mile while servicing clients;
• Ability to think on your feet and utilize strong problem-solving capabilities;
• Experience working in forestry, mining, or natural resources industries will be considered an asset.
