Job Description: This position is responsible to assist the Health Services/ Mental Health Care Manager with the delivery of services that are consistent with policies, standards, legal requirements, philosophy and mission of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The Mental Health Nurse B works under the direction of the Mental Health Manager in the assigned sector/region. The position, under the direction of the Mental Health Manager, directs Mental Health activities in order to provide care to clients. In the absence of other Managers, the position has the authority to direct the activities of the program.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
- 1-3 yrs nursing exp. in in-patient/community mental health, home care, and/or ER
- Experience in mental health & addictions is an asset
Education
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)
Other Education and Training
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
- Nursing diploma is acceptable

Knowledge and Abilities
- Competent critical thinking/judgement/autonomous decision making capabilities
- Ability to apply research to nursing practice
