1.0 FTE Grade 4/5 Teacher Carlin Elementary Middle School This is a temporary assignment effective immediately to May 8, 2026 or to return of teacher to full contractual FTE. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Education (Elementary);
• Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch.

Teachers applying for this position should possess the following attributes:

• training in elementary education;
• successful teaching at the above grade level;
• excellent classroom management skills;
• experience teaching in a classroom of diverse learners;
• knowledge of current instructional practices with the renewed curriculum;
• knowledge of First People's Principles of Learning;
• ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs;
• knowledge of and experience with Guided Reading Strategies;
• willingness to work closely with Learning Resource Teacher;
• experience in successfully implementing Core Competencies;
• strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills;
• current knowledge and ability with technology;
• willingness to contribute to school wide programs;
• strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills;
• commitment and ability to work with students with exceptional needs;
• successful experience using PM Benchmarks;
• experience in comprehensive literacy and numeracy instruction;
• enthusiasm to incorporate outdoor education;
• willingness to work closely with parents and staff;
• commitment to school goals.
