The Pastry Cook plays a key role in bringing desserts and baked goods to life, supporting the team with consistency, care, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-standard environment. Start Date: July 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Pay Rate: First Pastry Cook - $21.82 per hour Second Pastry Cook - $20.57 per hour What You'll Be Doing Pastry Preparation & Execution Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and confections following established recipes and standards. Assist in assembling plated desserts and finishing touches with a focus on consistency and presentation. Support mise en place and daily production to ensure smooth and efficient service. Follow direction from Chef de Partie and Pastry leadership to execute tasks accurately and efficiently. Operational Excellence Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station in accordance with HACCP and sanitation standards. Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Use kitchen and pastry equipment safely and responsibly. Assist with inventory and stock management as required. Team & Culture Work collaboratively with the pastry and culinary team to support service across all outlets. Demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow. Qualifications What You Bring Culinary or Pastry training (formal education or equivalent experience preferred). Experience in a kitchen, bakery, or pastry environment. Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking fundamentals, and kitchen operations. Knowledge of HACCP; FOODSAFE certification. A positive, team-first mindset with a passion for pastry and hospitality. Bonus If You Bring Experience in a hotel or high-volume pastry kitchen. Interest in developing skills in plated desserts, chocolate, or artisan baking. A passion for local ingredients and creative presentation. A curiosity and eagerness to grow within the culinary field. • Continuous standing for long periods of time.
• Frequent walking, bending, and reaching above/below shoulder height.
