About the role
###Job Overview
The Camp Leader for the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Project at the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and activities of the summer camp. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure a positive, engaging, and safe camp experience for all participants. The Camp Leader also provides key administrative support and ensures programs are delivered smoothly and in alignment with MAC’s values.
###Key Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative tasks: draft and revise documents, manage correspondence, maintain files (digital and paper), and make photocopies
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of camp activities and daily schedules
- Ensure clear communication with parents and respond to inquiries or concerns to maintain a high standard of customer service
- Create camp communications including newsletters, flyers, and other promotional materials
- Manage camper registration processes and maintain accurate attendance and fee tracking records
- Oversee supply management and ensure all required materials are procured on time
- Supervise and support campers throughout all camp activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Lead and motivate camp staff and volunteers to ensure successful program delivery
- Monitor incidents, complete incident reports, and report to the camp manager as needed
- Participate actively in daily operations and be a key point of contact for staff and parents
