AVP, Product Security and Trust
The Life & Health North America Integrated Analytics team (IA) is chartered to develop risk assessment applications using new data sources and AI. Our flagship product, alitheia, is the industry-leading point of sale SaaS solution for life insurance underwriting. We have established the role AVP, Product Security and Trust officer for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the security, compliance, and assurance program for a high-growth technology business operating within the larger Munch Re corporate environment.
Position Overview
The AVP, Product Security and Trust will be responsible for protecting the company’s cloud-based infrastructure, B2B SaaS platform, and highly sensitive customer and business data through the development of scalable security controls, operational processes, and audit-ready compliance programs. The role requires engagement with a broad set of stakeholders including business management, technology functions and partners using MR digital services.
Security Strategy, Governance, and Leadership
Define and lead the team’s information security strategy, roadmap, policies, and control framework aligned to business growth, customer expectations, and technical requirement set by MR norms and regulatory policy. Build and mature a fit-for-purpose security program balancing agility with appropriate risk management and compliance. Serve as a member of the team’s senior leadership and share responsibility for urgent priorities across product sales, implementation and operations.
Management of Cloud and Product Security Implementation
Define and implement controls for the protection of highly sensitive data across the SaaS platform. Work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security into architecture, software development lifecycle, deployment pipelines, and operational processes. Guide vulnerability management, configuration hardening, patching strategy, monitoring, and incident preparedness. Manage the evaluation, implementation, and administration of security tools and platforms supporting the organization’s infrastructure and SaaS product. On a direct or indirect basis, manage internal teams and third-party consultants to implement security technologies, operational controls, and governance processes on time and to standard. Similarly manage security remediation efforts.
Compliance and Audit Management
Own readiness, execution, and continuous improvement for internal and external (SOC 2) and related security /compliance assessments. Manage internal and external audits end-to-end, including planning, control mapping, evidence collection, remediation tracking, audit coordination, and stakeholder communication. Develop, maintain, and improve control documentation, policies, procedures, risk registers, and audit artifacts.
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary security point of contact for customers and prospective customers of the SaaS platform. Beyond security, serve as a senior technology expert to engage prospects and customers on all aspects of digital solutions. Support business development, contracting and onboarding of new customers. Serve as primary point of contact for all engagement with MR Global Technology staff including security, compliance, service management and operations.
Your Profile
8+ years experience in information security, cybersecurity, technology risk, or compliance leadership roles. Strong understanding of security controls across cloud infrastructure, application security, IAM, logging/monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and data protection. Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, infrastructure, product, legal, compliance, and customer-facing teams. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers and executive leadership. Strong program management skills with the ability to drive implementation, remediation, and control maturity in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $164,000 to $219,000, plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position.
