QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge:

• Current CMLTO registration, or eligibility to obtain CMLTO registration, is required in the following fields of practice:
  • Clinical Chemistry
  • Hematology
  • Transfusion Medicine
  • Clinical Microbiology
• Recent relevant laboratory experience is preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply

Skills/Abilities:

• Effective time management and strong organizational skills required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health team required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high stress environment
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of client groups to ensure patient focused care delivery
• Ability to be innovative combined with a willingness to learn new tasks required
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Good attendance and work record required
• Must demonstrate a commitment to ensure your safety, the of fellow workers, patients, volunteers and visitors
• Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
• Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset
