Join Our Team as a Claim Review Attorney at Axiom

We are currently seeking Claims Review Attorneys with claims review experience to join our legal team and provide support to our Fortune 500 clients. This role will be remote in the Greater Toronto area. Candidates must demonstrate full professional fluency in French, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken contexts.

Responsibilities:

• Review and validate claims for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable policies, contracts, and legal standards

• Analyze complex and legacy claims, including historical files that may be incomplete, technical, or difficult to interpret

• Conduct detailed document review in both French and English, ensuring consistency and accuracy across bilingual materials

• Perform discovery-related tasks, including document review, issue spotting, and organization of materials for legal proceedings

• Execute privilege review to identify and appropriately categorize protected or confidential documents.

• File incorporation documents, corporate registrations, and amendments with federal and provincial authorities.

• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and other corporate transactions, including due diligence and document preparation.

• Monitor and ensure timely filing of annual returns, corporate updates, and statutory documents with government agencies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience of corporate or commercial law in Canada, corporate or commercial law experience, preferably in-house, with strong knowledge of corporate governance, incorporations, and statutory filings
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
• Strong attention to detail (document-heavy review work)
• Ability to handle sensitive subject matters
• Legal review / claims processing background

Compensation:

The estimated total compensation for these roles is $95,000-110,000.Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
