Make a real difference in your community. As a Counsellor II in Belleville, Ontario, you'll provide high-quality, evidence-based counselling to clients facing life's most challenging moments. What you’ll do

• Deliver in-person, evidence-based therapy from our Belleville office using solution-focused, brief and longer-term modalities tailored to each client's unique needs
• Support clients through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Total Mental Health (TMH) programs, addressing complex presentations including mental health disorders, addictions, relationship concerns and workplace stress
• Apply strength-based, client-centered approaches that honor diverse backgrounds and empower individuals to achieve meaningful change
• Maintain clinical autonomy while collaborating with a Regional Clinical Supervisor who supports your professional development
• Engage in ongoing clinical consultation, peer learning and access to continuing education opportunities
• Utilize streamlined digital documentation systems that let you focus on what matters most—your clients

What You Bring

Required:

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
• Minimum five years of post-master's direct clinical experience with diverse populations and presenting concerns
• Current registration in good standing with OCSWSSW or CRPO
• Strong clinical competency in solution-focused therapy, brief interventions and longer-term therapeutic modalities
• Ability to establish therapeutic rapport quickly and work effectively with clients from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds
• Excellent clinical judgment, self-direction and comfort working independently in a high-volume practice setting
• Proficiency with electronic health records and digital clinical tools
• Commitment to evidence-informed practice, ethical standards and continuous professional development

Great-to-haves:

• Clinical experience with substance use disorders and addiction counselling
• Cultural competency and experience working with Indigenous populations and communities
• Previous experience in EAP, workplace mental health or integrated care settings
• Familiarity with local community resources and service networks
• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-informed care)

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location.
