Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for aPacker, second shiftat our Toronto manufacturing plant. The primary job function is to perform general labor duties within the laminated mattress Department.

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to build/assemble various size mattresses from foam components or pieces on the line.

Your additional responsibilities as aPackerwill include:

• Apply glue to foam on a consistent basis while working with foam.
• Collect foam from kitting area based on customer orders.
• Perform QC checks using visual assessments and tape measure.
• Applies labels to finished orders and preps for shipping.
• General housekeeping of department.
• Maintain satisfactory attendance levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• No experience necessary however, some would be an asset.

• Able to interpret and work with numbers and measurements.

• Able to lift between 20 - 40 lbs. comfortably.

• General understanding of PPE and use.

• Adaptable and flexible for any change of daily tasks.

• Communicates effectively with employee inquires or comments.

• Strong organizational and time management skills considered an asset.

• Ability to work under minimal to no supervision

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
