Summer Student – Temporary Full-Time
POSITION OVERVIEW
Join us as a Summer Student and help to Create Care Inspired by Community in East Toronto! As a Summer Student you will work with us on a variety of projects and other initiatives in collaboration with various departments and teams across the hospital and external partners.
This position is offered through the support of Government of Canada-Canada Summer Jobs Program. All applicants must meet the minimum requirements of that program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support projects and initiatives throughout, including daily operations, planning, logistics, and communications.
- Support the documentation of best practices to ensure sustainability
- Provide operational support to our staff, physician, and patient project work
- Assist with data modeling, analysis, evaluation and report writing
- Other administrative duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- High school diploma, required.
- Enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program, required. Business or Accounting field, preferred.
EXPERIENCE

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Strong demonstration of tact and diplomacy with a customer service focus

Expectation of this role encompasses the need to maintain confidentiality with respect to all aspects of the work being performed

Demonstrated ability to work independently, and prioritize workload

Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

Demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Experience with information gathering and the ability to synthesize and summarize information

Ability to prepare written reports and documents that are clear and concise

Comfortable working within a team as a leader and/or team member and with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
