About the role
Kingsclear-Municipal Limited Partnership (KMLP), a division of the Municipal Group of Companies, is currently seeking a Project Engineer to work with a team of industry professionals, in building world class renewable energy projects in New Brunswick.
Based out of our operations in the Fredericton (Juniper) area of New Brunswick and reporting to the Renewables Director, the successful Project Engineer will be responsible for the following duties.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Effectively manage the project budget and timeline. Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints and other topographical data to plan and execute the work. Provision of reports to project management and the client on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to communicate construction progress, safety performance and compliance with the Benefits Agreements governing this project.
Particpaite in all project Quality Control and HSE functions
Participate in Change Management including development of project change orders as needed to modify scope, schedule and cost Draft and manage RFI’s and technical queries sent to the Clients engineering team Logistics planning, vendor and subcontractor management Work with our project team, management and the client to ensure the effective implementation and execution of change orders and other modifications to project delivery. Provide feedback and advice regarding the project to management and other project leaders.
Oversee the planning, design, and estimation of cost for company projects
Plan all project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using the appropriate software tools and/or methods. Responsible for inspecting project sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with all safety and government regulations Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants, contractors, and other specialists Support development of cost breakdowns, progress estimating, and invoicing. Ensure that assigned areas of responsibility are performed within budget and schedule. Manage job plans, drawings, and specifications. Ensure all work is completed to high quality standards, confirming to owner and quality control requirement Work with and report to various Project Managers and Superintendents and foremen
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, And Experience
Previous experience on earthworks projects
University degree in Civil Engineering or other Construction Management program is preferred; Experience in Concrete Construction considered an asset Experience in Renewable Energy projects considered an asset P6 software experience considered an asset High attention to detail Excellent communication skills Utilizes strong organizational and planning skills. Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point,
