About the role
The RDKB is seeking applicants for the GIS Project Technician position, located in Trail, BC. This is a temporary, full-time position on a 5 month contract.
Reporting to the Manager of Planning and Development, the GIS Project Technician is primarily responsible for undertaking a project to create Avenza basemaps for Emergency Management and to assist with preparing the RDKB street address data for Next Generation 911 (NG911). The Project Technician may also provide support to GIS staff with routine GIS tasks.

Applicants must possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:
- Advanced Diploma of Geographic Information Systems (ADGIS)
- Experience using the ESRI suite of software products and enterprise licensing
- Moderate ability using Microsoft Office suite
- Preference for previous GIS work experience, ideally in a local government setting an asset
- An equivalent combination of qualification and experience will be considered
- Valid BC Driver's license

Position Information
Status: Full Time, Temporary (5 months)
Hours of work: 35 hours per week during summer months, 37.5 hours per week during winter months
Compensation: $34.26/hr
