Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
This Part-Time Academic Position will teach in person lectures and labs for the course LARC4015 Professional Practice. This is delivered in the Winter Term, from January to April 2027. Lectures are currently scheduled for Fridays from 12.35pm to 3.25pm and Labs are scheduled for Fridays from 08.35am to 11.25am.
The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the lectures and labs, including test preparation, evaluation and administration of the Brightspace platform. This position reports to the Chair of the Department.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
At least one year experience in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution. Excellent oral and written communication, collegiality, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment. Undergraduate or graduate degree in landscape architecture. Five years’ full membership in the Atlantic Provinces Association of Landscape Architects, or equivalent. Experience in contract administration processes, cost estimating and project management, as well as business development.
