About the role
Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet, BC is hiring a Cook 2 to join our year-round culinary team.
We’re looking for someone with solid kitchen experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being part of a team that takes pride in delivering great food every day. This role is ideal for someone building their skills and looking to grow within a professional kitchen.
This is a great fit for someone who:

Has 1 to 2 years of professional kitchen experience

Works well under pressure and stays focused during service

Has flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Is passionate about cooking and being part of a kitchen team

Is motivated to learn and develop new skills

Brings a strong work ethic and a positive, team-first attitude
In this role, you will:

Prepare and plate dishes efficiently and consistently, following established standards

Support smooth kitchen operations and communicate effectively with the team

Assist with prep work and daily kitchen organization

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in your work area

Store, label, and rotate food properly to minimize waste

Follow all food safety and workplace safety standards

Contribute to a respectful and collaborative work environment
