What you’ll do
- Reporting to the HABS Commodity Manager and Hardware Manager, the Hardware Manager Trainee is responsible for providing an exceptional level of customer service and maintaining a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards.
- To oversee adherence to brand and merchandising standards, image standards, safety, and asset protection within the Hardware Department.
- To be responsible in preparing, administering, and achieving budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity.
- To provide leadership to the hardware team, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training and development of team members.
- To be responsible for building strong customer relationships and delivering solutions and to oversee and monitor client satisfaction levels, ensure customer issues are resolved, and identify areas for improvement.
- To be responsible for leading the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to drive growth in hardware product lines.
- To be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships, with regular engagement of external customers and contractors to drive sales growth.
- To oversee the completion and follow through of all safety and environmental policies and procedures and ensure standards are achieved while being responsible for coordination and oversight of all safety, maintenance, and asset protection policies.

Experience in the retail, hardware, or material industry.

Knowledge of commodity sales, gross margin, and inventory management.
