###Role

The Broker, Mining & Energy is responsible for the day-to-day servicing and placement of insurance programs for mining & energy clients. They work closely with clients, insurers, and internal teams to support renewals, new business opportunities and ongoing program administration across complex operational risks.

###Key Accountabilities

• Provide client service and account management for mining and energy accounts
• Prepare renewal and new business documentation for submission to insurers
• Request, compile, and analyze loss experience and underwriting information
• Support negotiations with insurers on coverage terms, conditions, and pricing
• Obtain quotes for premium financing as required
• Prepare client-facing summaries outlining coverage options and recommendations prior to binding
• Coordinate binding instructions and prepare post-binding insurance documentation
• Request and manage policy, endorsement, and bond amendments
• Coordinate issuance of invoices, certificates, and evidence of insurance
• Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
• Maintain complete and accurate client records, including policies, correspondence, and emails, within EPIC and shared drives
• Respond to client inquiries related to coverage, documentation, and program changes

###Requirements

• Commercial insurance broking or account management experience
• Exposure to mining, energy, or resource-based industries considered an asset
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple accounts and deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with broker management systems (EPIC preferred)
