High School PHE Teacher(0.25 FTE - with the ability to work every day, partial days in a semestered system)

Join our team

We are seeking a passionate and talented PHE Teacher to join our school. The teaching schedule for this position will vary throughout the semester, with different class times each day. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as specific teaching hours will be assigned according to the semester timetable.

As an integral part of our academic team, the PHE Teacher will be part of a supportive team that greatly cares about creating an engaging and supportive school environment that actively seeks to develop our students' learning and growth by integrating Christian perspectives into all aspects of teaching the BC curriculum.

Specific duties

• Teach High School PHE classes
• Work cooperatively with the colleagues within his/her department and across the school
• Participate fully in student-learning and extra-curricular activities outside of the school day, as applicable

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of the Bible and current pedagogy
• Experience as a Youth Pastor or Ministry Worker
• Must qualify for a certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch of the BC Ministry of Education or a “Letter of Permission”
• Is familiar with the BC Ministry of Education curriculum

Salary range

$56,016 - $100,902

(Dependent on education, qualifications, and experience; pro-rated for part- time teachers)
