Job Description:

The Overnight House Attendant maintains the cleanliness of guest corridors, elevators, stairwells, and all assigned areas of the property. The Overnight Attendant completes special projects as assigned, and ensures standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness are maintained throughout the property. All team members must ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

What Will You Do?

Housekeeping & Maintenance

• Perform janitorial duties
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, fitness center, and hallways throughout the night.
• Restock housekeeping areas and carts for the next day’s shifts.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for towels, linens, or amenities.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks and report any damages or hazards to management.
• Ensure trash and recycling are collected and properly disposed of.

Security & Safety

• Conduct property patrols (interior and exterior) to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized activity.
• Respond calmly and professionally to emergencies, disturbances, or guest complaints.
• Enforce hotel policies and procedures regarding guest and staff safety.
• Complete incident reports and communicate overnight security or maintenance issues to management.

Guest Service

• Greet and assist late-arriving guests with directions, luggage, or basic needs.
• Support front desk by handling simple guest requests.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.

What You Bring?

• Previous experience in housekeeping, maintenance, or security preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and self-motivation.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain alert and calm during overnight hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for long periods, and handle physical tasks.
• Security training or certification a plus.
