About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle -- working alongside experienced engineers and project managers while contributing to meaningful, community-focused projects.
In this role, you will be exposed to both technical and project coordination responsibilities, supporting everything from early planning and design through to construction and close-out. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects organized, on track, and aligned with client expectations.
What You Will Be Working On
- Support project planning, scheduling, and tracking of deliverables
- Maintain project documentation including reports, drawings, and correspondence
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and capture clear meeting minutes
- Assist with tracking project budgets, costs, and progress against milestones
- Support procurement activities including RFQs, bid evaluations, and contract documentation
- Perform basic engineering calculations, analysis, and construction estimates under supervision
- Assist in preparing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, and drawings
- Coordinate with design teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of deliverables
- Participate in site visits to gather data, verify conditions, and support construction activities
- Provide support during construction, including inspections, progress tracking, and issue resolution
- Assist with reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Support communication of project updates, risks, and issues
- Ensure work aligns with applicable codes, standards, and quality expectations
- Contribute to quality assurance, quality control, and safety practices
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related discipline)
- 2–4 years of experience in consulting, infrastructure, or engineering projects
- Registered as an EIT or eligible for registration with EGBC
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a team
