About the Role
Innova is seeking a qualified HVAC Service Technician ? Full-Time (with travel to clients as needed) to support field service operations and warehouse-based technical work. When not traveling, the technician will perform diagnostic, repair, refurbishment, and preparation work on HVAC units within Innova?s warehouse facilities.
This role requires independent judgment, strong technical proficiency, teamwork on multi-person jobs, and strict adherence to company policies, safety standards, documentation requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Field Service Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned job sites to perform HVAC inspections, service, maintenance, and repairs
- Participate in site visits for larger projects, including pre-installation and post-installation support
- Diagnose system malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions
- Perform installations, component replacements, and system adjustments as assigned
- Conduct inspections and supervise unit start-ups
- Work as part of a technician team when required, including jobs that involve moving or staging equipment
- Ensure all field work complies with applicable federal, state, and local codes, safety standards, and company procedures
Warehouse-Based Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and refurbish HVAC units and components in the warehouse
- Test and verify operational readiness of repaired or refurbished equipment
- Support equipment staging, preparation, and packaging for field deployment
- Assist with organizing tools, parts, and equipment related to service operations
- Maintain accurate service, repair, and inventory documentation
Administrative, Compliance & Systems Management:
- Accurately document all work performed, including labor hours, materials, and parts used
- Complete post-service reports, job notes, and required documentation in company systems and CRMs
- Upload photos, service details, and technical findings as required
- Ensure documentation meets internal compliance, audit, and quality standards
- Follow all company protocols related to safety, reporting, and recordkeeping
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, dispatch, and team members regarding job status and issues
Qualifications
- 3 years minimum required experience as an HVAC Service Technician
- HVAC Certification (required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, and controls
- Valid driver?s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver equipment consistent with job requirements
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80.00-$120.00 per hour
