VMware & Storage Administrator / Senior Storage and Virtualization Engineer

Role: VMware & Storage Administrator / Senior Storage and Virtualization Engineer Location: Canada-Mississauga Duration: Long Term Contract
Experience Required
- 8–10 years of experience in VMware Administration
- 8–10 years of experience in Enterprise Storage Administration
- Experience supporting production datacenter environments Job Summary We are seeking an experienced VMware & Storage Administrator to manage, support, and optimize enterprise virtualization and storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in VMware vSphere technologies, Pure Storage platforms, Cisco UCS infrastructure, SAN storage environments, and datacenter operations. The role involves infrastructure administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery support, and ensuring high availability of business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
VMware Administration
- Administer VMware ESXi and vCenter environments.
- Manage VMware clusters, HA, DRS, vMotion, and Storage vMotion.
- Configure and maintain VMware Auto Deploy and PXE Boot environments.
- Provision, deploy, and migrate virtual machines.
- Perform VMware patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor virtualization infrastructure performance and capacity.
- Troubleshoot VMware-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
Storage Administration
- Manage enterprise storage platforms, preferably Pure Storage.
- Provision and manage storage volumes, LUNs, and datastores.
- Support SAN storage infrastructure and storage performance optimization.
- Execute storage migrations and disaster recovery activities.
- Perform storage health checks, firmware upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot storage connectivity and performance issues.
Infrastructure Support
- Administer Cisco UCS infrastructure.
- Coordinate server, storage, and virtualization activities during planned maintenance windows.
- Support datacenter shutdown/startup procedures during maintenance events.
- Work closely with network, backup, and application teams.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and operational procedures.

- ITIL-based operations support Min 8 to 10 Years A Azure network engineer is an IT professional responsible for managing an organization’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, cloud, and wireless networks. They ensure smooth communication between systems, optimize network performance, and implement security measures to protect data from breaches. Network engineers often work within IT departments and collaborate with other teams such as DevOps, security, and system administrators. Strong background in VMware and Pure integration, VMware configuration, PXE Boot, VMotion, etc.
- Strong Cisco UCS knowledge
- SAN storage experience
